New Blog: “A Time to Talk”

Most of my readers are familiar with my daughter’s language disorder and the joys and struggles that brings as her mom, and also as her homeschool teacher. As much of the discussion on the OneMom blog has a political tone, I decided to start a different blog devoted only to the topic of language disorders and homeschooling. OneMom will remain my primary blog and will be updated much more often (partly because the language issues will not change as often). I do hope that A Time to Talk will serve as a source of encouragement and very practical information for others with children struggling with language.

P.S. I have a question for you. In your opinion, if you wrote an article to the local paper (one that you were passionate about) would it be appropriate to post it on your blog? I responded to an article I had read if that helps clarify it for you.

Dominique … thanks. Regarding the newspaper, I think that would depend on whether the article was submitted as a letter to the editor, or was something the newspaper paid you for. If they pay for it, I would think you’d need their permission to put on the blog. (If I’m understanding your question correctly).

OneMom, what do you think about Chuck Baldwin? I’ve heard very little negative things about the Constitution Party, except that “they can never win,” but they are undoubtedly the largest third party which we would ever consider voting for.

Oh, and by the way, did you hear that Gov. Granholm vetoed the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act? Time to start those letters going to our Michigan Senators…
