The Adventures of Nell and Sophie

I had an email wondering what was up with our Sussex Spaniel (Nell) and our new Basset Hound (Sophie). Sophie had her second vet visit last week and had gained 8 pounds in 3 weeks, up to 20.2 pounds! Basically, wherever Nell is, there is Sophie. I do believe they are using magnets or velcro. The pictures tell the story …
The reason the dogs are looking up in the one picture is because my husband was grilling chicken at the time. The last picture shows them in one bed which is not built for two dogs … they have a bigger bed, but they always seem to end up in the smaller one. As you can see, they have things pretty rough around here.

Precious pups! Now that a Sussex spaniel has taken Best of Show, you will probably get many comments on your sweet spaniel. Your basset has a lapdog look, which is what I look for in all my dogs and cats.

Thanks Toni. Nell was in bad shape when we rescued her, but she is happy and healthy now. So glad to see a Sussex win Best in Show at Westminster. Stump is a beautiful dog. Bassets are my other weakness …. those ears and wrinkles and sad stories just get me every time. Thanks for stopping by.

I can’t get enough of these two, the way they stay together. Sophie sure has grown from when I first saw her all-ears photo. Seeing their photos adds a little joy to my day, thanks.
