Michigan Doles Out Democratic Delegates May 7, 2008

Senator Clinton to receive 69 delegates. Senator Obama to receive 59 delegates. The 28 super delegates free to vote as they choose. This must be approved by the DNC later this month.
On the Tonight Show with Jay Leno in about 30 minutes, former President Jimmy Carter will be talking about Michigan and Florida and that both of our states must be disqualified and not seated at the convention.

What was their motivation in releasing this? To let the DNC know that they wouldn’t be upseting the apple cart if they got to have their delegates after all?
I believe the DNC asked for a proposal from Michigan for them to consider at the meeting the end of May.
