I saw this at my favorite Weather Blog, and wanted to pass it on. This is an ominous picture!

This waterspout occurred on April 20, 2008 off the coast of Delaware. For more pictures click HERE. Fortunately, waterspouts rarely continue onto land to cause any damage. However, if you happened to be in a boat anywhere near that thing …. oh my! There is some disagreement among weather enthusiasts as to whether it was a waterspout or a huge “vertical” cloud. Either way, the sight of that would certainly be impressive – at the very least.
