Kerry it was an exciting night – Thanks again for being such a great blogger for Mike.

Warm Regards,

Robin

Huckabees huge victory among Evangelical Christians just further alienates me from the Republican Party (for which I am currently a member, although I do not know for how much longer).
As a Christian myself, I refuse to go along with the one issue politics of Huckabee and Evangelicals. Huckabee is not on par with many core beliefs of Republicans (myself included) and my own experience with Evangelicals both in general and politically has shown them to be very hypocritical “Sunday Christians”.
Also the Evangelical disdain of Romney simply because of his Mormon faith further disgusts me.
I hope that either Thompson or Romney can prove Iowa wrong, if Huckabee wins the nomination, I am NOT voting Republican (which I am not on my local candidates anyway)

Great minds think alike …

I was about to do a round-up of the blogroll. Now, I think I’ll just link to you.

I also came very close to calling my post last night “Whoo-hoo!” That would have been very close to K Street Mole’s title … wouldn’t that have been fun?

Wickle – well, there are probably a few hundred blogs I didn’t check! “Whoo-Hoo” seemed to be a popular phrase last night and this morning.

Thanks for the link. It’s great to see the excitement throughout bloggyland!

[...] to do it this morning, but One Mom, compared to whom I will apparently always be an also-ran,  already did it. Posted in [...]

I wonder what that one issue of Huckabee and the evangelicals is …

Health care? Taxes? National security? Education?

Hmmm … Could you help me out with that, Carl?

As for the Mormonism thing … I wonder when people are going to figure out that it isn’t Huckabee talking about it. Sigh …

Wickle – it’s the media that keeps reminding people that Gov. Huckabee is a Christian. There is nary an interview that they don’t put on the screen “Mike Huckabee, baptist minister … or former baptist minister”. Yet, I never see them label Romney “Mitt Romney, Bishop – church of latter day saints”.

The only labels they should put by their name are “former governor of ….” or “presidential candidate.

And if one more media person asks Mike about evolution and what should be taught in schools, I will scream. He’s not running to be curriculum adviser or head of the dept of education or national school superintendent!

Oh, I hear you …

In ten years, he never once tried to abolish science teaching in Arkansas. You’d think that that would appease people, but I guess paranoia of us weirdo Christian folk isn’t going to go away in light of mere facts.

Isn’t that what they accuse us of doing?

I’m interviewing a Republican in Texas today. Would you care to share with me some of the questions that you as a homeschooler had for Huckabee? I’d love to have extra ones to ask him that I might not have thought of. I’m interviewing Cornyn. Thanks!
