harassment from ron paul campaign

I received my 20th phone call from the ron paul campaign today … 20 phone calls in 3 weeks!!! All recorded messages. All show up as 000-000-0000 on the caller ID. All are recordings of the candidate or his wife (one was a non-distinct announcer’s voice encouraging people to do google searches to learn more about the libertarian … apparently the hit-wise data is not far enough out of this world).
The chance of our house being called this many times at random is highly unlikely … unless of course he is using those millions to call every phone number in the state of Michigan everyday.
At first I found it slightly amusing that I, a blogger for Mike Huckabee received a campaign call from the Paul campaign, but 20 times in 3 weeks … this is annoying and beginning to border on harassment.

Perhaps your phone number was one of the few numbers they had on their call list. They are pretty persistent. You know, like we will keep pounding on you until you convert to our way of thinking….

I am so sorry you are getting bombarded. I am sure though that of you contact the Michigan Office, they will do something about it…

No phone calls in Iowa today! We have been used to 5+ a day for months now.

Wow … I’ve been getting a few here in NH, but only from Obama and Clinton. I guess they’re really pursuing the Independents here (I’m registered Indep., my wife is a Republican … I know they’re not after her.) I did have a 20 minute conversation with the Obama staffer once.
I haven’t been hearing from Paul a lot, but we use dial-up for the online connection and, let’s face it, I’m online a lot right now.
By the way … Cathy, thank you! Last night, you in Iowa gave us a wonderful gift.

Yuck. If I get an automatic phone call from ANYONE I automatically (pun intended) hang up. I don’t care if it is my doctor’s office, the movie rental store, a sales call, or a political survey. Why should I as a real person not be given the dignity of having a real person call me?
